As was mention by DJ Otohe at Suria Kinabalu (Today – 24 June 2010)Diploma Culinary Art offered by Cosmopoint and KLMU Kota Kinabalu is a world class diploma which is a good news for parents and student around Sabah and Sarawak to enjoy good and valuable education knowledge. KLMU and Cosmopoint Kota Kinabalu have high class, professional and experienced lecturer with very high class hotel facility for the student to have good and valuable experience when studying here. Most of the lecturer have good experience from five star hotels around the world. When coming to choose a good College student and parents must have reliable information regarding the diploma offered and the college it self. Our Hospitality and Tourism Faculty comprise Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Tourism, Diploma in Culinary Art and Diploma in Bakery and Pastry. The fees is affordable and really cheap compare with other colleges that offering the same diploma. Fees for these diploma is RM24,000 only. Student who is keen to apply the so call diploma course have to pay RM400 for registration only. Hostel will be provided to the student where is situated at University Apartment, King Fisher Sulaman. Transport is provided free for the student who is staying at the hostel. KLMU and Cosmopoint Kota Kinabalu is providing high class diploma and minimum fees in diploma. Diploma in Culinary Arts
The program focuses on culinary skills, practical hands-on and theoretical training in all areas of food production. It equips students with real gastronomic skills and knowledge about food preparation, safety and the presentation techniques required for entry into the food service industry.
Students will acquire important skills in culinary craft, organization and management, including how to order, schedule, cost up goods, and deal with suppliers.
To equip students with basic culinary skills as well specialized knowledge and skills in the area of food and management.
To develop transferable skills for entry level positions and career advancement in the hospitality & food service industry.
To prepare students to be professional in their approach and attitude.
The Chef is not only a cook, but an artist, a manager, a chemist and an entrepreneur. The successful chef has to adapt to the dynamic changes of modernization and demands of the clientele. Graduates can either work for prominent international hotels and restaurants or branch out on their own. Graduates can also follow specializations of their choice, such as pastry, chocolate, seafood or any type of cuisine. With guidance on entrepreneurship and setting up a restaurant, this is a qualification where the future prospects are virtually limitless.
